Walgreen's in Owasso has $1 clothes

I hit Walgreen's yesterday and they had quite a few shirts for both men and women marked down to $1!! They were in the isle where the Christmas items are marked down 75% off (I also got some wrapping paper for $1-the multi roll packages). There were some relaly cute shirts for the ladies, or even some juniors. I got my two older girls some adorable tops. Also, there were alot of mens muscle shirts. I was able to find many 2x and up, but found one xl for my hubby who likes them a little biggish ;) I also saw a few pairs of adorable jammie type pants that could easily be made into shorts for the summer! Anyway, check out your local Walgreen's or, if you live near Owasso, check them out soon before all these items are gone :)

Did You Get a Sunday Paper Yesterday? -Walgreen's Deal

I hope you got a Sunday paper!! Inside one of the SS was a q-pon for $2.25 off Finish Dishwasher Detergents. Right now, Walgreens has a deal when you buy the 20 ct of the Finish Powerballs for $3.49, you get a RR for $1.50. So, combining that with a q-pon makes your price -.26 cents-lol! Yes, that is a minus there :) I really do not like counting my RR s a savings with the item I am buying-I prefer counting those toward other items I might buy. So, in this case, with that Q-pon, your cost would be $1.24 and you would then recieve a RR of $1.50 for future use...like, perhaps some Christmas clearance ;)

Want to Help Haiti?

I often look for ways that we can help charities that I trust with our budget. While at Walgreen's in Owasso, I was asked if I wanted to donate a $1 to Haiti :) I accepted! It made me feel good, and while I know it is only $1, I do know it will gather with many, many more dollars to make a nice contribution to help people who have been so extremely devasted!
And, there are others areas to help out too. Listen around, watch your news, you might hear it. Atleast one church that I know of in Tulsa is collecting items to send over-bandages, bottled water, etc... Perhaps picking up an extra package of bandages (or maybe you have a stash already :) is more within your comfort zone. You can always find a way to help a person in need :)

Good laundry soap deal at Walgreen's

Hit Walgreen's yesterday to get a couple sale items with coupons I had-and get those RR :) I noticed the big bottles of laundry soap on sale. Sun Laundry Detergent is $4.99-but this week they are B1G1F. So, that makes them about $2.50 each. The bottles are 117 oz each. I checked my Aldi brand detergent and they are 50 oz each and you get about 32 loads out of it (though, honestly, I use less than recomended with no bad results at all-I really do like Aldi's detergent and will have to share some experiences I have had later on :). The Sun detergent is 75 loads...so I was able to get more than twice the amount I usually get for only about 20 cents more. Yes, I had to buy the two bottles, but Im stocked up on laundry soap for a good 4 months atleast!! Good deal if you don't mind using a detergent that is not a huge name brand like Tide or All. I have really had no issues with the Aldi brand or Sun, so far. If I have a stain, I scrub and let it sit a bit-then wash. Not a big deal and with as much laundry as I do each week, this is a huge savings for me :)
